About Me:
I am a Female SharePoint Developer (a platinum unicorn). I have been working with SharePoint since I attended the Portal University in 2005. I hold a BA in Computer Science from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. I love playing Rockband, organizing user group meetings, working with code, attending events as a speaker or organizer, and having bizarre conversations about geek things with cool people. If you have any comments or questions fill out the contact form and I will try my best to help.

The Guide of a MOSSLover Becky Isserman's Blog

For those of you out there who can't pay a ton of money to attend one of the conferences there will be three SharePoint Saturday events and probably a MOSS Camp going on in the first quarter of the year.  Here is the information that I have on these events:

Event Name Date Venue Website Comments
SharePoint Saturday NYC Saturday, February 21st, 2009 Microsoft Office New York City http://www.sharepointsaturday.org/ny All the speakers and sponsors are listed on the website, including Chris Regan, Jay Medero...
SharePoint Saturday Boston Saturday, March 14th, 2009 Microsoft Office Boston http://www.sharepointsaturday.org/boston
MOSS Camp St. Louis Saturday, April 18th, 2009 New Horizons Computer Learning Center http://www.stlsug.org/
MOSSCamp/default.aspx
I went to this last year starting my whole year of speaking.  Kurt Rolland and Covenant Technology Partners are heading up this event in St. Louis.  Last year they had a total of 75 people.  I bet this year it will be bigger and better.  Some names they had were Todd Kitta, Corey Vandjk, Jeff Julian, and Paul Schaeflin.
SharePoint Saturday Atlanta Saturday, April 18th, 2009 TBA TBD Dan Attis and all the Atlanta guys are in planning mode.

I am hoping that I can maintain a list of free SharePoint events as the year passes.  I like traveling and attending events.  I have found a lot of people asking about events happening throughout the year.  If you know of any free events going on related to SharePoint (maybe even just a code camp track) let me know and I will post on this page.  I am going to throw up a link on my blog to this post.  If anyone is interested in volunteering, speaking, or attending these events and you have any questions I can direct you towards the person in charge.  I hope this blog post is helpful.

Becky - Sounds like a party! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Regards,
Mark

PS - "It's really hard to find something free in the city for free." Does that mean it's double hard?
